How Often Do You Wash Your Hair?

If you said every day, then you and I need to have a little chat!

I know what you're thinking. "But Ebonie, my hair is so oily I HAVE to wash it!"

Let me stop you right there! No, ma'am, you most definitely do not.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Everyone is different, and everyone’s hair needs are different.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

If you work out every day, you may feel the need to wash your hair every day because it feels sweaty and sticky.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

You may be in the habit of washing your hair every day.

Here's the deal, professional shampoos are quite fantastic these days and can technically be used every day.

⠀⠀

The truth is, you don’t HAVE to wash your hair every day, even if you work out every day.

The purpose of shampoo is to cleanse our hair and our scalp of product build-up and air pollution. Using the right shampoo and conditioner for your hair can help you go longer between washing without feeling overly oily.

Our scalp gets used to what is being done to it over time. The longer you can go in between washing your hair, the easier it gets. Having some products to help you go longer in between washes helps a lot too!

Dry shampoo is a “miracle” product that not only absorbs oils it also refreshes your hair so that it FEELS like it’s been freshly washed. Not all dry shampoos are a one size fits all. So it may take a few purchases before you find the one you love.

One of my all-time favorites is Joicos Weekend Hair Dry Shampoo. It not only extends your 'do for days but doubles the longevity of hair color to keep the big fade away. With oil-absorbing ingredients and volume boosters that deliver a gorgeous just-washed fullness, this time-saving spray gives you fresh, clean, velvety-soft weekend hair ANY day of the week.

My top 3 favorite dry shampoos are:

Amika Phantom Hydrating Foam

Joico Instant Refresh

And

Lanza Healing Dry Shampoo
